The Tizmetians are a large religious tribe of half-blue troglodytes loyal to Tiamat and her “prophet” Tizmet. Tizmet is commonly known to take two forms, those being a wyrm blue dragon and a half-blue yuan-ti half-blood sorceress. Either of these forms is accepted as Tizmet but it isn’t known if these two forms are actually the same being, most Tizmetians don’t care, this controversy is more common amongst outside parties.
Canarath was one such outside party and sought to see the true form of his rival leader. To do so he challenged Tizmet to a duel, this would either reveal the true form or kill off the false one. Much to his disappointment Tizmet didn’t show; This sowed much questioning of their prophet amongst the Tizmetians. Some believed that Canarath was a facet of Tiamat sent to challenge the belief of their prophet and their tribe, Others believed that Tizmet was afraid of Canarath and that he would make a better leader, and most thought that Tizmet merely didn’t wish to give an outsider the satisfaction at looking upon the face of the true prophet of Tiamat. Those who doubted Tizmet either left or were exiled from the Tizmetian Lands. Most then turned to Canarath, joining his cause either from fear of him or anger at Tizmet.
Amongst those who joined his cause was one of the 3 Tizmetian beastmasters, striking a huge blow to the Loyalist Tizmetians by cutting off a third of their war beasts and having said beasts used against them.
